Interim Pastor Amanda Berg (she/her)

Amanda received her M.Div. from Wartburg Theological Seminary and is currently awaiting a call in the Southwest California Synod. Prior to her role as interim pastor at Shepherd of the Valley, Amanda completed her chaplaincy internship at UCLA Medical in Santa Monica, an internship at Mount Cross Lutheran in Camarillo, and served as a minister at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks while one of their pastors was on sabbatical. Prior to seminary, Amanda completed certification as a spiritual director with the Jesuits at the Manresa Center for Spirituality in Dublin, Ireland, and served at Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino as a spiritual director, retreat facilitator and administrator.

Amanda lives in Thousand Oaks with her husband Eric and little dog Gracie. They have three grown daughters and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Amanda is excited to be a part of the Shepherd of the Valley faith community and looks forward to sharing in Christ’s ministry together!
